A small team that ships.
SimSo was founded on a simple observation: most AI consultancies hand over a strategy and disappear. We think a working system is the only deliverable that matters. And we structure every engagement around getting one into your team's hands.
Why SimSo exists.
The pattern that became SimSo started inside a real engagement. An independent veterinary practice was watching its revenue per visit decline. Not because of any single failure, but because the recommendation moment in every exam was leaking value. The fix wasn't a new product or a new pricing scheme; it was an AI workflow that surfaced the right recommendation at the right moment, then closed the loop afterward to recover the declined ones.
What started as a one-off project became a method. The same four AI roles. Clinical reasoner, pattern finder, risk router, workflow coordinator. Recur in almost every workflow that's leaking value. SimSo exists to bring that method to teams who'd rather operate a working system than read another whitepaper about one.
How we make decisions.
Ship the artifact, not the deck.
A working artifact answers questions a slide can't. If we say a system will do something, we build the thing and let it do the something. Before we ask anyone to commit capital.
Cite every claim.
Numbers without sources are noise. Every figure in a SimSo deliverable carries its citation in-line. If a claim can't be defended in a board meeting, it doesn't go in the document.
Expert reviews, model proposes.
The AI never makes terminal decisions in domains with real stakes. Clinicians review clinical recommendations. Owners review owner communications. The model is an extra pair of well-trained eyes, not a replacement for judgment.
Compounding over clever.
We pick the architecture that gets better every week with use, even if a flashier alternative looks better on day one. Compounding data advantages are the only durable moats in applied AI.
Predictable beats sophisticated.
Linear pipelines beat tool-calling agents in any workflow where stability matters more than cleverness. We graduate to more complex architectures only when the use case earns it.
Hand the keys over.
An engagement ends with your team operating the system. We don't run managed services and we don't lock you into ongoing dependencies. The handoff is the deliverable.
Senior, by design.
SimSo is intentionally small. The work is led by a founding partner with two decades of combined experience across systems engineering, applied machine learning, business strategy, and operations leadership. Supported by a vetted bench of senior collaborators brought in by domain.
A senior practitioner. Not a sales motion.
Background spans engineering leadership at growth-stage companies, applied ML in production, strategic consulting for executive teams, and direct operating experience inside both healthcare and SMB contexts. Comfortable in the room with a clinical advisory board, a private equity sponsor, or a small-business owner. And willing to do the actual building, not just the talking.

Want to see if there's a fit?
The first conversation is a 30-minute working session, no slides on our side. You describe the workflow that's leaking value; we tell you whether SimSo is the right team for it. And if not, we'll try to point you somewhere useful.
